Chandler Grey® Melt Wax

The Chandler Grey Natural Melt Wax has been specifically developed as a natural melt wax. It is also suitable to make moulded candles with including tealights, votives, and pillar candles. It is vegan friendly and cruelty free. The 100% natural blend is predominantly olive with natural performance additives to improve scent throw and burn performance. It is supplied in bead format and offers a depth of colour unrivalled by any other natural wax on the market with a frost-free finish.

• Format: Beads
• Max Fragrance Load: 10% Max
• Melt Point: 60-62C. Heat to 80-85C.
• Pouring Temperature: 70-75C
• Dye: Inpex SD Dye is most suitable (Mix at 1-2g dye per 100g wax, depending on the shade you wish to achieve)

Wicking Recommendations

• If making candles using the Chandler Grey Melt Wax, we recommend testing the WickWell NT-TL wicks for tealights or Wedo VRL wicks for larger candles. Alternatively, the 1.016 Wooden Wick range is also a suitable option to test.
• However, please note that you must thoroughly test your own candle combination. There are several factors which can affect the burn pool of a wick including fragrance oil, dye, or any additives. Therefore, we always recommend testing the wick size above and below your diameter also.

Tips & Troubleshooting

• As with all waxes, we recommend adding your fragrance oil just before pouring your candle. Adding your fragrance prior to this point may cause some fragrance to evaporate.
• Always test small batches with the mould you will be using. You may find that you need to adjust your method slightly, depending on the size and shape of your mould.
• If you wish to speed up your making times, you may find it useful to use the cold-water bath method.
