Micro-wax Soft

Micro-Wax Soft is a highly versatile candle additive, generally used to make a hard wax more adhesive. It can be used as a substitute for stearin when working with rubber or silicone moulds. In addition, Micro-Wax Soft adds rigidity to pillar candles and helps reduce or eliminate mottling and frosting without adding opacity.

If you are experiencing bubbles on your finished candles, adding a small amount of Micro-Wax Soft can help. It is also sometimes used to enhance the burn of natural container waxes.

Key Characteristics

• Format: 20g discs / 500g slabs
• Melting Point: Must be heated to approximately 62–65°C to melt.
• Pouring Temperature: Dependent on the wax you are using Micro-Wax Soft with.

How to Use Micro-Wax Soft

• Use at a concentration of 2–10% of your total wax weight.

Tips & Troubleshooting

• To cut the slabs, score the slab several times before applying pressure with a knife. This makes cutting easier and gives more consistent results.
• Always re-test your candle wick when adding any additive to your candle wax.
