Beeswax is a natural wax produced in the hive of honeybees. Our beeswax is sourced from hives across Europe and is supplied pure and yellow in colour. It is a highly versatile wax used for a wide range of applications. Many customers use this wax for pillar candles, tealights, votives, and container candles in aluminium tins. A small amount of beeswax can also be added to other natural waxes to increase burn time and improve hardness. Please note that natural colour variations occur, so the shade of yellow may vary between batches.

Key Characteristics

  • Max Fragrance Load: Up to 10% (beeswax has its own natural scent which may influence fragrance)
  • Melt Point: 62–65°C
  • Pouring Temperature: 70–80°C (many customers pour at around 75°C, though this is personal preference)

Wicking Recommendations

  • The WickWell NT wick is recommended for beeswax candles.
  • Thorough testing is essential, as factors such as fragrance oil, dye, and additives can affect wick performance.
  • We recommend testing wick sizes above and below your expected size to ensure the best results.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Beeswax candles typically require a larger wick than other natural wax candles.
  • Pour slowly and allow the candle to cool gradually for the best finish.
